We are seeking an experienced professional to join the growing Pearl Street project development team. In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will perform field audits/assessments, solution development and cost-benefit analysis for turnkey LED lighting system upgrades. Working closely with our highly experienced engineers, certified lighting designers and tenured sales professionals, you will be part of a winning team that develops projects that get awarded and get built. Most projects will be in NYC.
This is a fulltime position based out of Pearl Street’s downtown NYC office. The senior engineer is expected to provide on-site field work (data gathering on the tablet, troubleshooting, client facetime), as well as off-site project development (solutions development, economic analysis, final deliverable).
Many of these projects and opportunities are highly complex and require the attention of an engineer who has multiple years of experience with LED lighting and controls. Furthermore, the growth and maintenance of our NYC accounts are of the highest importance of our business’s success and reputation. It is fully expected that the senior engineer maintains impeccable business relations with the following (but not limited to): Customers, Utility Program reps, Electrical Sub-contractors.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of Lighting Experience
- Must have Lighting Controls Experience
- Very strong Communication Skills
- High Level of Productivity
- Strong Attention to Detail, High level of Accuracy
- Ability to Multitask in a Fast-Paced Industry
- Strong Organizational Skills
- Proficient Experience w/Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Proficient Experience w/“Snapcount” program software is a plus
- Outgoing, Personable, Respectful of peers, customers, and contractors
